Theft By The Federal Reserve: 98% Of Dollar's Value Lost Since 1913

From The Patriot Word:

Tuesday, August 17, 2010Federal Reserve Theft: They've only stolen 98% of the value of the Dollar

Holding the US Dollar would be an excellent investment if it weren't for the continuous devaluation of the dollar by the Federal Reserve. The federal reserve is essentially "splitting" the dollar and keeping the "split" try doing that with your company stock, you'll be in jail before you get the first share issued.

The reason that Americans do not save is not because they have an uncontrolled urge to spend, it’s because the purchasing power of the dollar gets smaller over time. Like any investment with a negative return, common sense dictates that you not hold assets of this type.

Americans generate increased economic value through their hard work, ingenuity, and courage continuously. This growth of national wealth and commerce would naturally increase the value of a dollar if the amount of dollars were fixed. A system of this type would encourage saving, because holding dollars would be a good investment.

When the federal reserve devalues the dollar, they encourage negative investment (borrowing) because dollars in the future will be worth less than dollars at the present. For this reason the United States and most other countries are dependent on borrowed money for their operations. The principle of living within your means is destroyed by the concept of living on borrowed money.

Our government has a problem living within their means because the members have never lived within their means.

The US dollar currently holds ~2% of its original value. Another way to say that is 98% of the value of the dollar has been stolen since 1913.

How does the federal reserve steal the value of your dollars? Issuing dollars is identical to splitting a stock. When a stock is split, the new shares are distributed to the current share holders preserving the shareholders investment value. When the dollar is split, the federal reserve keeps the new dollars and uses them for their own purposes. If anyone else tried to do what the federal reserve does, they would be imprisoned for theft and fraud.
