Union leaders told KTNV-TV that the rallies scheduled for noon in Nevada on Monday are a stance against plans to undermine the labor movement.
Members of the Nevada State Education Association and the Nevada AFL-CIO are expected to attend the rallies, among other union members.
Thousands of protesters have filled the Wisconsin state capital in recent days to protest a proposed law that would strip public sector workers of their collective bargaining rights.
Nevada union officials say they are worried a similar measure could be considered here.
Some Republican leaders say overpaid union workers are to blame for state budget crisis.
