ANG Captain Pete Hegseth Hammers Kagan In Testimony

From Freedom's Lighthouse:

Capt. Pete Hegseth Hammers Elena Kagan in Testimony before Senate Committee – Video

This slapdown is a thing of beauty.

Here is video of Capt. Pete Hegseth, a veteran of the Iraq War and founder of Vets for Freedom, testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee about Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan. Hegseth says more in this five minutes than was communicated in the whole three days of bloviating from the Senators. He destroys Kagan on her opposition to military recruiters having access at Harvard Law School while she was Dean.

Hegseth points out how Kagan zeroed in on military recruiters to bear the brunt of her anger about what she called “the military’s” “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy on gays in the military. He reminded everyone it is not the “military’s policy” – it was a policy passed by Congress and imposed on the military. He further reminded that Kagan went to work for the very President (Clinton) who signed that policy into law! He also said her anger could have been directed at Harvard having three chairs endowed by Saudi Arabia, a country which executes homosexuals. Instead, she singled out military recruiters for her attacks.

Hegseth made a powerful and convincing presentation. He should run for office some day. This is the kind of person we need in leadership in America.
