Sharron Angle Hits Harry Reid With His Own Slogan

From The New Ledger:

Sharron Angle Hits Harry Reid Using His Own Sloganby Brad Jackson

In a sly move by Nevada GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle, her campaign has used Harry Reid’s own slogan to attack him in a new commercial. Reid’s slogan says that he “does more for Nevada.” Turning it on it’s head, Angle takes the Senate Majority Leader to task for all that “more” he’s’ brought the state.

This is a great hit by the relatively naive Angle who is doing battle with one of the masters of dirty politics. Her hit on jobs, “He’s done more for unemployment. We were at 4.4 percent. Now we’re at 14 percent,” should ring home with the throngs of unemployed in the Silver state. She also takes a jab at the Senator concerning Nevada’s awful foreclosure rate, no state has been hit harder.

This is a tactic that Democrats should get used to for 2010. As these elections heat up, especially in key races like Nevada, look for the GOP to hammer home the old James Carville mantra he had Bill Clinton utilize to oust Bush the Elder in 1992, “It’s the economy stupid.” With many American’s facing the loss of their jobs, their homes, and the lifestyle they’ve enjoyed for many years, you son’t need me to tell you this is going to be one of those famous (or infamous, depending upon what side of the aisle you’re on) “change elections.”
