Toomey Not Only Regains Lead But Also Stretches It

Republican Senate candidate Pat Toomey has regained the lead over Democrat Joe Sestak in the hotly contested race for the Senate in Pennsylvania, a new poll reveals. A Franklin & Marshall College survey released Wednesday morning shows Toomey ahead 43 percent to 36 percent.
Sestak had taken a lead in some recent polls, and a Reuters survey this week showed the race tied at 46 percent.
Toomey’s surge can be attributed largely to continued strength among independent voters, according to Politico.
